Suzanne O’Connor-McLean currently works as a private consultant with leadership teams helping them build their leadership & organisational capability.

Background: In her professional career in education, Suzanne has worked as a Classroom Teacher, Advisory Teacher & School Principal, and in recent years as Executive Director, School-Improvement and Executive Director, School- Performance in a capability- building role with Education Queensland.

  • She has training and experience in professional coaching and mentoring as well as consultancy work
  • She has training and experience in presentation skills and facilitation of  groups
  • She has certification in Choice Theory, Reality Therapy & Lead-Management and is a Faculty member of the Glasser Australia Institute-Basic Practicum Supervisor level. She was principal of the first Glasser Quality School declared in Australia. Dr Glasser visited the school in 1996.
  • Her special areas of interest and expertise in Human Resource Management include Lead-Management, High Performance Organisational Culture, Capability building & Performance Development.


Suzanne works differentially with individuals or groups to ensure a personalised learning approach. She offers professional development, coaching/mentoring & strategies for building leadership capability. She is keen to challenge the thinking of both current & aspirational leaders in the area of Human Resources and High Performance.
